You already aware that personal training will help you a lot in your health as well as in your physical fitness. But to do this, you have to hire a Personal Trainer. Well you can do without one but do you have the discipline to continue with the program and do you know enough of fitness training to create a program yourself?
Personal trainers are however very expensive. When you look at their per hour session salary, youíll be shock. They get from about $30 to $150 per hour. Thatís huge. So how do you look for a personal trainer that will fit your budget? Below are some tips:
If you have free time, book your session schedule when nobody is having one. Off peak hour sessions can save you at least 30 percent in charges. Low rates for training sessions during off peak hours such as in the afternoon are actually being offered already in most fitness gyms. This means they recognize the viability of it. Just ask your potential personal trainer if the charges are lower. Just try. It wonít hurt you. This is especially true if you want to go for a regular schedule.
Another thing that you can consider are shorter sessions. Do you really need to work out with a personal trainer for one hour including warm up? As much as you can try to minimize the time of the session. Warm up before he/she comes to your house so that your training will be done in just 30 minutes. It will be cheaper. You can get as much as 50% discount if you do that.
Be aware if you have a friend who also need a work out. You can ask her to come to your house and do the routines together. This way, the personal trainer will have two clients with no extra time wasted. When you do this, you can bargain for more discounts. You can even get bigger discounts if you can form a group of three or five people. Make sure though that you have more or less the same fitness levels. When you do these small group sessions, be sure though that you wonít miss any of the session because the program will continue on even if you canít make it unless of course the whole group canít make it too. Cancellation is not allowed.
Some personal trainers also offer discounted rates when they are still undergoing their training and on their way to just getting their certification. Look for personal trainers who have had extensive experience on the job and are just studying to formalize their profession. You can get them cheaper when they do not have certificates yet. However, if you have any injuries but still want to hire a personal trainer, consider hiring someone with a Physical Therapy degree or one with a certification. Remember that your condition is much more sensitive.
Another thing to consider is barter. Maybe there is something that you own that you can exchange for his services? It does not hurt to try. If they donít accept your proposition, then look for other ways to get a discount. Personal trainers are awfully easy to talk to. All you have to do is actually to ask them.
